On the right you see the glass filter. In the left top of the photo you see the Magna computer. The cell that adjusts the magnesium is in the top in the middle.

The filter system we use is actually quite simple: the skimmer and the pump basket stop the first, bigger pieces of dirt. After that, the swimming water is pushed through the tiny glass or sand particles in the filter, right before it is returned to the pool. With Magnapools, an additional cleansing takes place between the filter and the pool, right after the Magna computer measured the quality of the water.

We work with both glass and sand filters. Sand is cheaper, however doesn´t last very long in comparison to glass (sand: 3 years, glass: 10 years). After this number of years, the sand in the filter should be replaced because it will contain too much dirt and therefore will not be able to clean the water as well as before. Another benefit of glass compared to sand is that much more bacteria forming takes place in sand filters. Due to this, the whole system will have to work harder to keep up the water quality. Eventually, there will be too much dirt and the filter won't be able to clean the water anymore.

For our Magnapools, we work with glass filters as a standard.
For very small pools we also supply cartridge filters.

Also, we sell both the glass and the sand separately, for the technical DIYer.
